Bubbles 2/1/2024

Thoughts popping
In and out
Like soft
Soap bubbles
Floating in the sky.

Tis’ difficult
To find stillness
In the moment
As I latch onto
One thought
That began thinking
About my past.

Endlessly
This cycle
Repeats
As another thought
Pops into the moment
Distracting me again
As I think about
Something else.

How do I stop attaching
To bubble thoughts of mine?

Closed my eyes
Focused on my breath
Longing for stillness
Longing for quiet
And suddenly
I am transported
To that space
That both exists.

Noticed a new version of me
Noticed a new version of life
One that is calmer
And centered
Just by entering the
Nothingness
That was created
With my breath.

 Finding gratitude
For this discovery
As my bubble thoughts
Just continue to
Float by.
