Just Be You 1/5/2024

Finding confidence
Finding your compass
Finding out
Who you are
Will be difficult
When you
Search for others
To build your image
Of respect
And competence.

Don’t wear
Your creditability
And accountability
As a coat made
Of another’s thoughts
And comments.

Find the rewards
From inside
Your own heart
And nowhere else.

Take words of feedback
With a grain of salt
Don’t give other’s words
The power to change
What you feel
About yourself.

 The only comments
And guidance that
Are valuable
And important
Comes from
The Soulful Self
Through feelings
And a knowing
Of love and worthiness.

Create a space within
Reflecting
On what the heart feels
Keeping you balanced
Between
Arrogance and confidence.

And always return to
The feeling
Of just being you
And no one else.
